Ch-Ch-Changes and Life goes on…

I have taken a month to try to get my energy directed to my blog. I miss contributing to the larger MS community. However, sometimes, life happens, and others need a hand up, which in my case, uses any available energy I have.

Life can change in a heart beat. I have seen this in my own family. During this time, I had to be strong and hold up my relatives. Yes, I have leadership skills and smarts, but there are emotional aspects of dealing with ill family members. I have seen first hand how my nieces and I have come together to support their father. This has reminded me to be present and to spend the time to engage even if the sick person can not. Investment in family relationships is important and I continue to grow from my understanding that others might not think as I do or have the capacity to handle a sudden change in a loved one’s health.

Therefore, I want to encourage those who might think that they are, indeed, strong, you are and you can be. I found some untapped reserves to handle my brother’s double-sided strokes, heart attack, pneumonia, and ulcers. He has remained present and is handling all the changes with grace and dignity.
