What does it mean to do a MS Walk?

Pulling together a team to support the local MS Walk takes some planning: design a sweat shirt, get invites out, ask people to learn about MS, request sign ups and donations, and figuring out how to gather and get to the walk. Is it worth the effort? Absolutely? You see the support of the local volunteers, the MS local and national organizations, local health care facilities, the hundred and hundreds of walkers, and a sense of positive spirit around doing something positive. The walk is spirited and a lot of fun. Cheering others on with pom poms and cow bells makes for a busy scene.

As a second year walker, I realize and appreciate what the people in my life contribute to my life and my sense of well being as I journey through this life with MS. Nothing can replace the kindness and good will of these team members. So yes, try a walk or let me know if you wish to walk next year. When we walk, we support the believe that life is worth living and living life well. So thank you to my team. I love you all.
