Ever Locked Out Unintentionally?

Medicine caps, creamer pods, foil coverings on tubes, and plastic packaging are daily challenges that frustrate my sense of independence. Folks with no feelings in their fingers often must seek help to open such items. Little concern is invested by companies to ensure that consumers can open their products–more time and effort is spent in keeping the item closed. I understand the need for child safety; however, this is not about consumer protection. It is about facilitating the needs of those without fine motor skills, a growing population of folks with neuropathy and other issues.

Now I must use care and take the time to determine if I can open the packaging; if not, I will be on the outlook for an alternative product.

Perhaps for prescription bottles, one can request an alternative packaging type. I intend to discuss this issue with my pharmacy.
